Flight operations have resumed at Scotland's primary international airport after a substantial ATC system failure halted all operations.
All aircraft movements were stopped after an systems problem that was reported at approximately 08:30.
A number of travelers reported being stuck in aircraft on the tarmac as the outage continued.
Officials announced at 10:40 that services were back online, and expressed gratitude to passengers for their "cooperation and patience".
Nonetheless, ongoing issues are expected to continue throughout the day. Flights to London Gatwick, Bristol, Amsterdam and Frankfurt have been cancelled, with many others subject to postponements.
A spokesperson had previously estimated that dozens of flights could be disrupted.
"Flyers are asked to get in touch with their carrier for the latest information on their individual travel plans," the statement added.
The airport attributed the full ground stop to an IT issue with its ATC service provider.
Travelers should still plan to confirm the details of their trip before departing to the hub as knock-on effects are worked through.
