Travelers flying with British Airways can soon use high-speed connectivity in the air free of charge after a recent deal involving Elon Musk's space company.
The carrier announced that the no-cost, “reliable and lightning-fast” wifi service from SpaceX will be offered to customers in coach, premium economy, and first class as of soon.
The umbrella organization for BA, IAG, stated it had finalized an agreement involving the satellite firm to offer connectivity coverage for more than 500 planes across the group's airlines, including Aer Lingus, Iberia, and the low-cost airline.
British Airways noted that this implementation for this technology was included in a multi-billion pound “transformation” plan and would deliver lag-free connectivity access to travelers from boarding to arrival, including when they are flying over seas or far-off locations.
Passengers will be able to hook up multiple devices while do not need a unique password.

Limited connectivity access is currently provided to British Airways flyers across nearly all of the airline's jets via its .air platform.
Participants of BA’s frequent flyer program can send messages and plain-text correspondence onboard without paying, whereas flyers wishing to stream music, films, and films throughout their flight if not travelling in first class may be charged from four pounds ninety-nine and twenty-one pounds ninety-nine for one internet plan.
